Halfway through – Who is leading the stats charts at the 2025 Kalahari Conference?
)
We have reached the halfway point of the 2025 Kalahari Conference – six games down and six more to go.
Al Ittihad lead the way with a perfect 3-0 record, but who have been the most dominant players in the first round of the conference?
We delved into the statistics, considered the impact of the players on their respective teams, and concluded that five players have been outstanding.
Of course, the BAL doesn't hand out conference MVP awards, but is it too early to start talking about who might be the Kalahari Conference's best player?
MADUT AKEC (Rivers Hoopers)

The Rivers Hoopers are second in the conference with a 2-1 record, and much of the Nigerian champions' impressive run has to do with the way South Sudanese guard Madut Akec has performed in their first three games.
A glance at the statistics shows that Akec is among the top three in scoring, rebounding and 3-point shooting.
Akec is averaging a conference-high 19.7 points; he leads all players in three-point shooting with an admirable 73 percent - well ahead of three-point specialist FUS Rabat's Yacine Baeri's 50 percent - and is the most efficient scorer with a 56 percent field goal percentage.
Madut has the highest efficiency rating in the first three games, averaging 25.
KYLE VINALES (Al Ittihad)

The Egyptian champions dispatched every single opponent they faced in the first round of the conference, and Vinales left his mark on their winning run.
The 32-year-old point guard started all three games and contributed 15.3 points, conference-highs of 6.7 assists and 2.7 steals, and 7.3 rebounds per game.
As the Rivers Hoopers looked to extend their winning streak on Tuesday, Vinales had other ideas, putting together a performance for the ages.
Vinales shot 6-for-10 from behind the arc and finished with a game-high 26 points to lead the Alexandria-based team to a 100-80 victory.
It was a staggering performance from Vinales, who went on to post the conference's highest efficiency rating (31) to date.
He averaged a 20.3 efficiency rating through the first three conference games.
JOHNATHAN JORDAN (FUS Rabat)

Like Vinales, Jordan averaged an efficiency rating of 20.3 in his first three games.
FUS Rabat's primary playmaker, Jordan starts and often ends his team's offensive possessions.
His 15 points per game are second most among FUS Rabat players behind Nisre Zouzoua, who averages a team-high 18 points per game.
Jordan has done it all for the hosts. The team's smallest player (5'10") not only leads his FUS Rabat team in rebounds (6.3 rpg) and assists (6.0 apg), but he also averages more minutes than any other player on the team at 32.9 per game.
NISRE ZOUZOUA (FUS Rabat)

The Ivorian has been a breath of fresh air for a team chasing a second straight ticket to the BAL finals.
Zouzoua's game-high 22 points were the icing on the cake in a 92-72 win over Stade Malien.
In addition to averaging the second-highest assists per game (3.7), Zouzoua made half of his 42 field goal attempts and is second in field goal percentage (50%) behind Madut Akec.
He averages an efficiency rating of 17 per game.
MAJOK DENG (Al Ittihad)

Has there been a more productive substitute than Majok Deng in the first six games of the 2025 Kalahari Conference? Probably not.
The lone Olympian in Rabat has turned in several stellar performances, averaging 16.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
Deng averages an efficiency rating of 17.
OTHER STAR PLAYERS

A few players have performed admirably, averaging an Efficiency Rating between 15 and 16, including Raphiael Putney, Mahamane Coulibaly, Ahmed Khalaf, Peter Olisemeka, Kelvin Amayo and George King.
