2025 BAL SEASON TO FEATURE RECORD SIX NEW TEAMS
The 2025 BAL season, which will feature three regular-season group phases and culminate with the playoffs and finals at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa in June, will feature a record six first-time BAL participants, including the first BAL teams from Cape Verde (Kriol Star Basketball) and Kenya (Nairobi City Thunder), as well as defending champion Petro de Luanda (Angola) and 2022 champion US Monastir (Tunisia). Petro de Luanda and US Monastir are the only teams to have qualified for all five BAL seasons. Below is the complete list of participating teams by conference.

KALAHARI CONFERENCE TICKETS GO ON SALE TODAY
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) today announced that tickets for the league’s milestone fifth season’s Kalahari Conference (April 5-13, 2025) will go on sale today at 4 p.m. Fans in Morocco can purchase tickets via Guichet at the following physical locations: Megarama Cinema in Casablanca, Megarama Cinema in Fes and the National Theatre in Rabat. Single-game tickets start at 50 MAD.

2025 BAL Combine To Be Held In Rabat Morocco
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) will host a Combine in Rabat for a second consecutive year from Friday, Jan. 10 – Sunday, Jan. 12. The three-day scouting event, which will be held at the Ibn Yassine Omnisports Hall, will feature more than 30 aspiring players from Africa, Europe, the U.S. and around the world taking part in anthropometric and athletic testing, positional skill development, and 5-on-5 games in front of team executives, coaches and scouts.

BAL TO TIP OFF MILESTONE FIFTH SEASON ON APRIL 5 IN MOROCCO
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) today announced that the league’s milestone fifth season will tip off on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, Morocco and culminate with the 2025 BAL Finals on Saturday, June 14 at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa, marking the first BAL games in Morocco and the first time the BAL Finals will be held in South Africa.
