BAL4HERU23 ID Camps
The BAL4HER U23 Camps will identify twenty U23 female talents from across the continent to participate in the BAL4HER U23 Pan African camp during the BAL Finals. During this edition of the camp, we will focus on Sports Psychology training and advocacy, through a workshop with a Sports Psychology expert, and a facilitation experience while coaching 50 to 100 girls from the local community.
BAL4 HER Pan African Camp
The BAL4HER Pan African Camp, organized by the Basketball Africa League (BAL), aims to empower and develop young talented female athletes. Campers have been identified throughout our 5 BAL U23 ID camps, scouting network, and NBA Academy/BWB alumni. Focusing on on- court and off-court development, the campers will have practices, a showcase, civic engagement, social outings, content creation opportunities and career and personal development workshops.

BAL4HER Leadership Conference
In each BAL conference and BAL Playoffs, the BAL puts together a BAL4HER Leadership Conference. Formerly known as BAL4HER Careers in Sports workshops these BAL4HER Conferences raise awareness and inspires women to be in leadership positions and consider different careers in sports and beyond. BAL4HER celebrates current women leaders in sports, on and off the court, while empowering the next generation of women in the sports industry, through workshops that bring together 60-100 young professionals, and 30 mentors, for panels and breakout groups.

BAL4HER Mentorship Program “Teaming Up: African LeadHERs” meet “BAL4HER”
Teaming Up: African LeadHERs meet BAL4HER” is a mentorship program in partnership with Speak Up Africa, that addresses the critical need for increased representation of women in sports leadership in the rapidly growing ecosystem of African basketball. This second edition builds on the successes of the first edition by pairing 10 mentees across Africa with 10 global sports executives. The program will run from December 2024 to May 25, 2025 (Africa Day) with a particular focus on how aspiring African women leaders can shape the future of sports in Africa and advocate for social change through a health and Sustainable Development Goals lens.

16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence
In alignment with the commitment to gender equality and combating Gender Base Violence, the BAL partnered with Voix Essenti’ELLES for the 16 Days of Activism campaign. This collaboration aimed to leverage the influence of the Basketball Africa League to highlight the urgent need to end GBV. The campaign featured impactful posts and a dedicated article detailing the league’s essential role in this vital cause.
