)
On Saturday, Al Ahly Ly secured the third of four Playoffs spots for the 2026 Kalahari Conference teams by defeating the Johannesburg Giants 110-72 in Pretoria.
This was the Libyan champions' third consecutive victory, following a slow start to the season during which they lost their opening two games.
The 38-point win is the largest winning margin in the 2026 BAL so far.

Majok Deng came up with yet another stellar performance, shooting 8-for-10, including a perfect 4-for-4 from deep to lead all players with 23 points.
Jo Lual, whose BAL scoring record had ended two hours earlier, added 21 points and Jean Jacques Boissy contributed 14 points for the Libyan champions.
Lual was four rebounds shy of his fifth straight double-double.
Local fans filled in the SunBet Arena, pushing home team Johannesburg Giants, but Al Ahly Ly were on a mission to return to the Playoffs for the second time since finishing second in the 2024 season.
Jakobi Heady proved prominent for the Giants again, finishing the team with 14 points. Aviwe Mahlong seized the opportunity, contributing a team-high of 15 points.
Coach Florsheim Ngwenya used all his 13 players, but the game belonged to Al Ahly Ly.

While Al Ahly Ly, the 2024 BAL runners-up, concluded their Kalahari Conference with a 3–2 record and on a high note, the Johannesburg Giants remained winless after four games.
The Giants will conclude their Kalahari Conference on Sunday, 5 April, when they will take on Petro de Luanda (3–1), who secured their playoff spot on Friday.
