Damion Baugh sets first triple-double in BAL history
)
There have been some remarkable individual performances in the history of the BAL, and Damion De’Von Baugh has set the bar very high indeed.
Not only did the former NBA player help Al Ahly Ly qualify for the 2026 BAL Playoffs, he also made history in Africa’s premier club competition.

On 4 April 2026, he recorded the first triple-double in BAL history during Al Ahly Ly's 110–72 win over Dar City in the Kalahari Conference in Pretoria, South Africa.
Baugh spent 29 minutes and 14 seconds on the court, creating scoring opportunities for his teammates, grabbing rebounds and scoring, to help Al Ahly Ly finish their conference campaign with three consecutive wins and an overall record of 3–2.
He became the first BAL player to achieve double figures in three key categories, finishing with 11 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds.
This historic feat came just five days after he set a BAL record for the most assists in a game (18), which also happened to be the league's highest-scoring game, against Dar City (118-97).
Baugh and Al Ahly Ly are moving on to the 2026 BAL Playoffs next month, with their sights set on winning the league title.
