Dundao, Mathiang headline the 2026 All-BAL Defensive First Team

Childe Dundao of Petro de Luanda has been named in the All-BAL Defensive First Team for the third time since the award's inception during the 2022 BAL season. 

He is joined on the 2026 team by Mohamed Sadi (Al Ahly Libya), Aminu Mohamed (Club Africain), Mouhamadou Diagne (FUS Rabat) and Mangok Mathiang (RSSB Tigers). 

Dundao was also named in the All-BAL Defensive Team in both 2022 and 2023.

Mangok Mathiang won the 2026 BAL Defensive Player of the Year award.

The 2026 All-BAL Denfisive Second Team consisted of David Michineau (Dar City), Axel Toupane (ASC Ville de Dakar), Majok Deng (Al Ahly Ly), Osayi Osifo (Al Ahly SC) and Jo Lual Acuil (Al Ahly Ly).
