Numbers that defined GameDay 1 in Rabat
)
The first two games of the 2026 Sahara Conference produced some notable results.
To provide context, we compared some of these figures with those from the first 15 games played in the Kalahari Conference. In other cases, we delved into the BAL archives to highlight the significance of these figures.
JCA Kings' 55 points against FUS Rabat turned out to be the fewest scored by a team this season. Nevertheless, those 55 points still rank higher than the 46 points scored by the Patriots, which is the lowest score in BAL history. This occurred during the 87–46 match against US Monastir in the inaugural season.
Mouhamadou Diagne needed just 25:11 minutes to record the highest efficiency rating (25) of GameDay 1 in Rabat.
The Senegalese center shot 4-for-6 from the floor, scoring 8 points and grabbing 14 rebounds (eight of which were offensive), helping FUS Rabat to defeat BAL debutantes JCA Kings 85–55.

Samba Fall of ASC Ville de Dakar also put in a stellar performance, recording the fifth-highest field-goal percentage of the season for players who made eight or more shots. He came off shooting 8 for 11 (73%) to finish with a team-high 20 points in an 85–79 loss to Club Africain.
Javion Blake (89%), Michael Foster (77%), Garang Diing (75%) and Jo Lual Acuil (75%) top the top four among players who have made eight or more shots this season.

FUS Rabat’s 38-point lead in the fourth quarter against JCA Kings was the second largest of the season. Petro de Luanda’s 47-point lead against the Johannesburg giants is the largest.

Gameday 1 of the Sahara Conference saw 4,368 fans fill the seats at Salle Moulay Abdellah.
