What teams need to do progress to the 2026 BAL Playoffs semifinals 

Four games into the 2026 BAL Playoffs, and the question in everyone’s mind is what is needed to stay in contention.

For the contest, teams play a two-game series in the quarterfinals, and the team with the higher aggregate score across both games will progress to the semis.

If the aggregate score is tied, overtime will be played to determine the winner.

In the first four games of the 2026 BAL Playoffs:
- Al Ahly EGY lost to ASC Ville de Dakar (90-93);
- RSSB Tigers beat FUS Rabat (95-72);
- Club Africain lost to Al Ahly Ly (87-88);
- Dar City defeated Petro de Luanda (88-82).

The qualification scenarios are as follows:

Al Ahly SC vs. Ville de Dakar Senegal (Sunday, 24 May) – 15:00 local time
- If ASC Ville de Dakar beat Al Ahly SC or loses by 2 points or less, they will advance to the semifinal.
- If Al Ahly SC win by more than 3 points, then they will advance to the semifinal.

RSSB Tigers vs. FUS de Rabat (Sunday, 24 May) – 18:00 local time
- If RSSB Tigers beat FUS Rabat or lose by 22 points or less, they will advance to the semifinal. 
- If FUS Rabat win by more than 23 points, then they will advance to the semifinal.

Club Africain Tunisia vs. Al Ahly Ly (Monday, 25 May) – 16:00 local time
- If Al Ahly Ly win or the game is tied, they will advance to the semifinal. 
- If Club Africain win by more than 2 points, they will advance to the semifinal.

Petro de Luanda vs. Dar City (Monday, 25 May) – 19:00 local time
- If Dar City win or lose by 5 points or less, they will advance to the semifinal. 
- If Petro de Luanda win by 6 points or more, they will advance to the semifinal.

NOTE - If the aggregate score after the second game of a two-game series is tied, the winner of the overtime period will advance to the semi-finals.

BAL
