What’s at stake on the Club Africain vs JCA Kings?
)
With the 2026 Sahara Conference entering its GameDay 4 on Tuesday, 28 April, everyone is asking what is at stake in the day's only game, when Club Africain take on JCA Kings.
Firstly, the two teams are at opposite ends of the standings: the Tunisian giants have a perfect 2–0 record, while the Ivorian champions have not yet won a game in the conference.
Club Africain and JCA Kings have never faced off against each other.

Here’s a breakdown of what sets these two teams apart:
Unlike Club Africain, the Kings rarely found themselves in the lead in their first two games – they only led by one point once, when they scored the opening basket against the Maktown Flyers, and by two points when they also scored the opening basket against FUS Rabat.
Conversely, Club Africain have overcome adversity through tremendous teamwork, notably in their 69–68 victory over Al Ahly, when they outscored the Egyptian champions 8–0 in the final 15 seconds to extend their unbeaten run to 2–0.
Club Africain have scored a combined total of 154 points in two games, whereas the JCA Kings have scored 123.

The Tunis-based team made 36.1% of their field goals, compared to the Kings' 33.3%. This is currently the lowest shooting success rate among the 12 teams in the league.
The JCA Kings have grabbed more rebounds in the two games (80) than Club Africain (76).
In terms of ball movement and shooting creation, Club Africain averaged 19 assists per game, compared to the Kings' 13.
A Club Africain win will see them improve to 3–0 and close in on the Playoff spots, while the Kings will find themselves in real trouble at 0–3.

At an individual level, Club Africain's playmaker, Omar Abada, has scored a combined total of 46 points in two games. The 2021 All-BAL Team member has been the heart and soul of the Africains.
Although both teams are appearing in the BAL for the first time, neither has hidden their intention to compete and reach the 2026 BAL Playoffs in Kigali.
