Founded in 1920 in Tunis, Club Africain is one of Tunisia’s most historic and popular multi-sports clubs. The basketball section emerged in the years surrounding Tunisia’s independence and established itself among the national elite by the late 1970s. Since then, Club Africain has become one of the country’s most successful basketball programs, winning multiple national championships, Tunisian Cups, and Super Cups.
The club enjoyed a dominant period between 2014 and 2016 with three consecutive league titles and back-to-back Tunisian Cup. In 2025, Club Africain captured its fifth Tunisian championship, adding to a trophy collection that reflects decades of consistency and ambition.
Club Africain made its Basketball Africa League debut in 2026 after winning the 2024–25 Tunisian championship. The team reached the BAL Finals in Kigali and continued the club’s tradition of competing among Africa’s top basketball programs.
